Vocational and Technical Qualification Consultation – Have Your Say
Dear Student,
I hope this email finds you and your families well.
I am writing to you to provide you with an update on the latest situation regarding examinations this summer.
The exams regulator Ofqual, who are consulting jointly with the Department of Education, published its consultation on alternative arrangements for the awarding of GCSEs, AS and A-Levels this Summer. A separate consultation on proposals for vocational and technical qualifications has also been published. These consultations close on the 29th January 2021.
It is important that students, parent/carers and teachers who wish to have their say have the opportunity to do so. The consultation ends on Friday 29 January at 23.45pm. If you wish to respond, please complete the following online surveys:

Ofqual, together with the Department of Education, will need to consider the responses carefully and therefore they do not expect to publish the next steps until the end of February.
In the meantime, it remains important that students continue to engage with our blended learning offer and that we avoid any speculation until the final decision is reached. This will support the wellbeing of all at this challenging time.
Despite the uncertainty of summer examinations, attendance and engagement in learning sessions has been high. At RNN Group we care deeply about our students and whatever the outcome of this consultation, we will work hard to ensure that students are not disadvantaged by these disruptions to their education.
On behalf of the RNN Group we would like to thank you for your hard work, resilience and understanding in such a difficult situation. Please be reassured we will contact you again as soon as the outcome of the consultation is known.
Regards
Jason
