T Level Students Explore Careers at Sheffield Hallam University

3 April 2025

On Wednesday 17th March, T Level students in Design, Surveying, and Planning (DSP) students visited Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) for a Built Environment taster day.

Students explored these careers first-hand, taking part in practical workshops that brought the construction industry to life. Hands-on surveying activities and digital design sessions provided them with a real insight into the skills and knowledge required in the sector.

One of the activities included creating 3D paper craft architectural models using various objects.

A guided tour of the SHU’s state-of-the-art facilities offered a glimpse into student life. Speaking with current undergraduates gave students valuable insights into the courses on offer and the pathways available.

“It was a brilliant opportunity to experience university level learning and see what career options are out there,” said one student.
