Construction begins on the front of NNC.

New Face of College Project Update

20 May 2016

North Notts College is changing the frontage of the college on the Carlton Road side of the site with an investment of almost a million pounds. This project has been part funded by Sheffield City Region and is being managed by Moxon Project Management who will cover the entire project, from inception to completion.

Simon Moxon, Project Manager, recently updated us on the project commenting. “The front of NNC looks like a metal frontier at the moment with the heavier structural aspects of the works almost complete, with just the tricky last pieces of the steel frame to be erected around the College entrance this week, leaving only a small section of frame to wrap around the north end of A block to finish this off.”

“The work on replacement of windows, doors and curtain walling will commence next week and will continue to the end of the project as will the installation of the terracotta tiles which comprise the final finish to the new college frontage, again continuing to the end of the project when the scaffolding will come down.”

The project is currently on target and is due to finish at the end of July.
