If you’re interested in a career working with Motor Vehicles, you can train in our high-spec modern facilities, which reflect those used in industry. You will gain practical skills and learn how to fix and diagnose faults in all components of a traditional motor vehicle.
You will also have the opportunity to gain experience on hybrid and electric vehicles at our Sustainable Automotive Training Centre (SATC) which will equip you with sought after, future-proofed and in demand skills in a fast-changing industry.
Our Motor Vehicle courses, also offered at Dearne Valley College part of the RNN Group, allow the opportunity for candidates to become compliant with automotive vehicle systems and maintenance activities which include, but are not limited to; the removal and replacement of components and diagnostic activities across a range of vehicle manufacturers.
You can choose from a range of Motor Vehicle and Engineering courses, all taught by industry-experienced staff who have strong links with the engineering sector.
If you’re from the Nottinghamshire area and your chosen course is delivered at Dearne Valley College, we have a student bus service that will make travelling easier.
Our courses start at Entry Level 3, and learners can progress towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship, provided entry criteria are met. Tasks undertaken within the workshops range from identification of components, removal and replacement of components, and advanced diagnostic techniques and capabilities across all courses on offer. You will study; Vehicle System Maintenance, Vehicle Repair, Advanced Diagnostic Techniques, Introduction to working with Hybrid and Electric Vehicles and Component Identification and Replacement.
