Nurture your caring side with our nationally recognised qualifications.
If you want to develop and shape the next generation in a fun and rewarding job, then a career in Early Years and Education could be the perfect path for you. With our industry-approved qualifications, you’ll teach, support, and develop children as they progress through the stages of early childhood.
On our courses, you’ll learn through a combination of work placements and classroom sessions. To ensure that you gain the hands-on experience needed in industry, we work with a range of employers, such as:
- Primary schools
- Day nurseries
- Preschools
- Children’s hospitals
- Specialist schools
Whilst you study with us, you’ll learn key skills including communication with children and adults, safeguarding, health and safety, childhood illnesses, play, and learning. You’ll also take part in practical activities such as making story sacks, cooking and healthy eating for children, painting, and displays.
You’ll have the chance to hear from industry experts in guest sessions and learn more about the variety of careers and settings available in Early Years and Education. Outside of the classroom, you’ll have the chance to manage fundraising events and take part in inter-college competitions to showcase your skills.
Our Early Years and Education courses are delivered at both North Notts College and Rotherham College (also part of the RNN Group). If your chosen course is delivered at Rotherham College, we have a student bus service that will take you there from the Nottinghamshire area.
