This course will enable you to gain an understanding of the characteristics of the different forms of autism. You will then go on to explore the principles of supporting individuals with autism, such as using a person-centred approach and positive communication methods. You will gain an appreciation of how individuals with autism can be supported to live healthy and fulfilled lives.

- Learn from industry-experienced and well-qualified tutors who have spent many years in the Social Care sector and have specialist qualifications and knowledge to bring to their teaching

To be eligible to undertake our free distance learning courses you must meet the below criteria:
- Living in the UK and aged 19+
- If you are aged 19-23 you must hold a full Level 2 qualification and not currently enrolled on an apprenticeship
