This course is designed for students with particular interests in developing a range of construction trade skills specific to local skills shortages and employer demands
This qualification will allow you to gain knowledge, develop technical and transferable skills in preparation for a role as a Multi-Skilled Tradesperson The Multi Skills course offers an opportunity to study multiple trades such as carpentry, bricklaying, plastering and tiling You will gain knowledge and practical construction skills through a series of well planned classroom based and practical based sessions, exploring health and safety regulations and best practices on the construction site, following safety protocols to prevent accidents and promote a secure working environment and organising materials tools and equipment for specific tasks .
Students will develop knowledge skills and behaviours studying the following: Health and Safety in Construction Practical Construction Skills Environmental Awareness and Sustainability in Construction Bricklaying Plastering Carpentry Tiling Knowledge of construction technology
You will learn from passionate industry experienced tutors that make learning energetic and rewarding in state-of-the-art workshops.Work experience will develop knowledge gaps of working as a team. Independent thinking, reflective practice, communication, customer care, problem solving organisation skills will be provided.Enrichment activities are planned to provide a holistic approach to ensuring you have the opportunity for personal and professional development.
Four GCSEs Grade 2 or above or other equivalent or experience

On completion of this study programme you will be able to progress onto Level 2 in Multi Skills, L2 Diploma in Plastering, L2 Diploma in Carpentry, L2 Diploma in Bricklaying
- 16-18 year olds do not need to pay course fees
- Those aged 19 or over may not need to pay fees depending on their circumstances. Find out if you qualify for help with fees.
Material and tools are provided by the college for practical work, however all learners will need to provide safety footwear, some funding may be available to assist with this.
